Can a personal yoga practice help Christians experience spiritual growth? How does yoga and Christianity work together? Read these Getting Still blogs to learn how to combine Christianity and yoga.

The following blogs will cover topics to help you grow spiritually like how to walk in Christ’s freedom, meeting Jesus in the wilderness for Lent, the benefits of yoga for Christians, journeying through the chakras with Christ, and more.

As a Christ-follower and yoga teacher with over 25 years of experience, my goal is to help spiritual seekers deepen their relationship with the Divine. We will explore contemplative practices like yoga, meditation, prayer, chakras, and energy healing. Join me as we discuss these topics through a Christian perspective, look to scripture for a Biblical viewpoint, and unpack the fears that many Christians feel in regards to unfamiliar spiritual practices.

After much research around spiritual growth practices, I found that many Christians are fearful and confused. In these blogs, we will explore the spiritual safety of utilizing ancient healing modalities, such as yoga and energy healing, for Christians. We will emphasize the importance of inviting Christ into our practices and relying on The Trinity as our healer.

Harnessing Love

The day will come when, after harnessing the winds, the tides, and gravitation, we shall harness for God the energies of Love. And on that day, for the second time in the history of the world, man will have discovered fire. -Teilhard De Chardin Do not underestimate the energies of Love. A lovely woman, with whom I have recently been getting acquainted, attended my scripture yoga class for the first time.  She came up to me, after class, to discuss some insights that she thought might be helpful for me as a teacher.  She shared with me that she teaches trainings on [...]
