What is the liturgical year, and how can Christians engage with the various sacred seasons?

The liturgical year is an annual sacred rhythm of living for Christians made up of seasons that commemorate the birth, life, death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Some examples of liturgical seasons include Advent, Christmastime, Lent, Easter, and Ordinary Times.

Christians can deepen their faith by engaging with these sacred seasons, even if they don’t attend a liturgical church. Additionally, Christians who practice yoga, meditation, and other spiritual practices can combine their practices with the liturgical seasons for a deeper spiritual experience.

In the following blogs, we will explore how to use spiritual practices like yoga, meditation, and prayer during liturgical seasons to deepen your relationship with God and grow closer to Christ. For example, we will cover how to partner your yoga practice with the season of Lent to experience deeper spiritual growth.

The following blogs also offer meditations for Lent, guides on how to pray with beads, an Ash Wednesday meditation, and more. We will also practice the discipline of gratitude and explore how yoga during the Advent season can help you grow in anticipation of the light in the darkness.

If you are ready to embrace new seasons and deepen your relationship with Christ, these blogs are for you. No matter where you are in your Christian journey or your journey with yoga, you can learn from these blogs.
