  • What information do we collect and what do we do with it?
    We may collect the personal information you give us depending on the type of transaction you enter into, such as your name and email address. Email marketing: we may send you emails about our site and related membership information, course(s), registration, course content, your course progress or other updates. We may also use your email to inform you about changes to memberships, courses, survey you about your usage, or collect your opinion. In addition, if you make a purchase on our website, we may send you order and shipping confirmation emails. We will always give you the opportunity to opt out of receiving any of such materials.
  • How do you get my consent?

    When you provide us with personal information to receive a free download, become a member or a learner on our site, make a purchase, participate in a course, or sign up to receive our newsletter you imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it to communicate with you for that specific reason and for future communications.

    How do I withdraw my consent?

    If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at anytime, by contacting us at hello@gettingstill.com.

  • Disclosure

    We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Use/ Service. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or to protect our rights, protect your safety, the safety of others or investigate fraud. However, non- personally identifiable information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses. We may disclose your personally identifiable information if we have your consent to do so.

  • Newsletter

    If you have opted to receive our newsletter, you may cancel participation in email newsletters by following the instructions on each newsletter. We will honor all requests for list removal sent to us as described in “Contacting Us” below.

  • Third Party Services

    In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

    Once you leave our course website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

  • Recordings

    We respect your right to privacy. At times throughout our offerings, we may record LIVE calls, yoga teachings, panel discussions, and presentations for later use. If you do not wish to be recorded, we invite you to turn off your camera & refrain from joining the conversations. You are welcome to ask questions in the chat which will not be recorded.

    By joining our live events and leaving your camera/ microphone on, you are granting permission to GETTING STILL and THE YOGA ABBEY to reproduce the audio, photographs, and/or video images taken of you, or anyone appearing with you on screen, for the purpose of publication, promotion, advertising, or trade.

  • Removal of Data

    In the event you desire for us to delete your personal information we may have stored, you may contact us at hello@gettingstill.com. We will make best efforts to comply with such requests within 30-60 days depending of the complexity of the actions necessary to comply with the request. We are not, of course, able to delete all data entirely inasmuch as retention of certain data is required by law, useful for reasons of public interest, or otherwise necessary and reasonable in view of the law and our potential legal positions.

  • Online App

    This section describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our mobile application (“the App”). By using the App, you agree to the practices outlined below, in addition to all other policies on this page.

    6. Children’s Privacy
      The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
  • Thinkific

    Our courses and part of our site is hosted by Thinkific Labs Inc. (“Thinkific”). They provide us with the online course creation platform that allow us to sell our product/services to you.

    Your data is stored through Thinkific’s data storage, databases and the general Thinkific application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

    Payment:

    If you make a purchase on our site, we use a third party payment processor such as Stripe or Paypal. Payments are encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction.

    All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

    PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our site and related courses and its service providers.
